Pav Bhaji

(Serves 5-6 people)

Ingredients

  • Chopped Cauliflower-2 cups
  • Chopped Cabbage-2 cups
  • Chopped Potato-2 cups
  • Chopped Carrot-1 cup
  • Chopped Capsicum (Green Bell Pepper)-1 cup
  • Chopped Beans-1 cup
  • Green peas-1 cup
  • Chopped Onion-1 cup
  • Garlic-5-6
  • Ginger-1/2 inch
  • Green Chilies-3
  • Chopped Tomato-2 cups
  • Turmeric-1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder-3 tsp
  • Garam Masala-2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder-1 tbsp
  • Butter-3 tsp
  • Lemon Juice-2 tsp
  • Salt-2 tsp
  • Oil-1/4 cup
  • Cilantro
Method
  1. Boil cauliflower, cabbage and potatoes in the pressure cooker.
  2. Now take a pan and put oil and heat it.
  3. Now put onions and fry them till they get golden brown.
  4. Make fine paste of ginger, garlic and green chilies.
  5. Put this paste in when onions are golden brown.
  6. Now add beans, green bell pepper and green peas.
  7. Cook till it gets tender.
  8. Now add tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder and garam masala.
  9. Mix everything properly and cook till oil comes out.
  10. Now add boiled cauliflower, cabbage, carrots and potatoes in the pan.
  11. Mash it properly.
  12. Now add little water as needed, butter, salt and lemon juice.
  13. Cook it for 15-20 mins in medium low flame.
  14. Garnish with cilantro.
Serve with slightly toasted buns with butter.
