Mix Dal (Massor & Toovar)
Ingredients
- Massor Dal-1/2 cup
- Toovar Dal-1/2 cup
- Thin Sliced Onion-1/4 cup
- Thin Sliced Garlic-1 tsp
- Green Chilies-2-3
- Turmeric-1/2 tsp
- Tomatoes-1 medium size
- Salt-1 1/4 tsp
- Water-5 cups
- Cilantro
- Oil-2 tbsp
Method
- Wash both the dals.
- Take a pressure cooker, put oil and heat it.
- Put onion, garlic and green chilies.
- Stir it and cook till it gets golden brown.
- Now add turmeric and diced tomatoes.
- Cook for a while.
- Now add dal, salt and water.
- Cover the lid and give around 5 long whistle.
- Garnish with cilantro.
Tips
- Amount of water and cooking time can vary because of dal.
